Chantilly Academy AFJROTC marches at Forest Glen.

PATRIOTISM WAS ON PARADE, Saturday morning, when The Chantilly Academy’s Air Force Junior ROTC marched at the Forest Glen senior living community in Centreville. It was in celebration of Veterans Day, Nov. 11, and the cadets also raised the American flag and remembered U.S. MIAs and the fallen while a bugler played taps. This ‘Dracula’ Has Bite

CENTREVILLE HIGH'S FALL play has bite — that’s because it’s "Dracula." With a cast and crew of 44, this classic, Gothic chiller takes the stage Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Nov. 19-20, at 7:30 p.m. each night. Tickets are $10 at the door. "I’m excited about this — there’s a lot of energy focused on this show," said Director Mike Hudson. "It follows Bram Stoker’s book closely, but in a way Hollywood never attempted. However, it’s not appropriate for children under 12. This is not the stereotypical ‘Dracula’ — it’s very dark and unexpected." Read more...

‘Goldilocks on Trial’
Chantilly High presents children’s play.

SURE, SHE ENTERED a house that wasn’t hers, ate some porridge, did a little property damage and then took a nap. But is Goldilocks guilty of a crime? Audiences will find out, Saturday-Sunday, Nov. 21-22, at noon and 5 p.m. each day, when Chantilly High presents "Goldilocks on Trial." Tickets are $5. There’s a cast of 36 and crew of 16, and Director Ed Monk double cast this children’s play because "There were so many good character actors in the auditions; we have a lot of talent. We’ve done this show a number of times and everyone always enjoys it, so we’re hoping they’ll like it this time, too." Read more...
