LOUDOUN COUNTY voters in Tuesday's election gave a majority of their votes to Republicans leading the party's ticket as Virginia's former Attorney General, Bob McDonnell, decisively defeated Democrat Creigh Deeds.
The Republican swell defeated Democrat Del. David Poisson who was seeking his third term as Virginia's 32nd House District representing Ashburn, Cascades, CountrySide and Sugarland Run. Read more...

Gang Problem Easing

THE "GANG PROBLEM," first noticed significantly in eastern Loudoun County in 2002 and appearing to grow over succeeding years, now appears to have crested and in recent years declined somewhat, according to a study released last week by the Northern Virginia Gang Task Force. Read more... |

LINK Needs More Help
Residents asked to donate food, toys and time.
IT'S NOVEMBER and that means that the LINK organization of 14 churches, which have operated here in eastern Loudoun County and Herndon since 1972, again need help to meet the needs of families living in the area who are hungry and who need winter coats during the Thanksgiving and Christmas season.
